Pefkos is about an hour and a half from Rhodes Diagoras Airport by transfer coach. As you travel south on the island you will pass through various resorts; Faliraki, Afandou, Kolymbia, Kalathos and finally Lindos or Lardos before you arrive in Pefkos.
Pefkos has grown steadily but slowly over the past ten years or so. It is essentially a resort geared toward the british tourist. With some bars and restaurants offering a typical 'brit' atmosphere. Don't be put off though if this is not your thing. The majority of bars and restaurants offer a typically greek environment, allowing you to enjoy some of the culture of the area whilst still being able to get 'bacon and eggs' for breakfast!
Many of the visitors to Pefkos each year are regular visitors. I am not sure what it is that draws people back time and time again, the best thing I can suggest is that if you havent enjoyed a holiday in pefkos yet, you should try it.... maybe you will come up with an answer.
In any case, you will be able to enjoy the warm hopitality of the local people, the wonderful beaches, warm clean sea and the general 'laid back' attitude that engulfs everyone after a day or two of being here.
